Visitors will be not allowed in hospitals across Bangladesh until further notice.

Dr Nasima Sultana, an additional director with the government's Directorate General of Health Services, made the announcement in a notice on Saturday (Mar 21).

She told Bangla Tribune that the move was to avoid cross infection and under such vulnerable conditions visitors cannot be allowed.

Dr Sultana added that all the hospitals and health care centres under the DGHS have been served with the notice
