The coronavirus-detection kit developed by Gonoshasthaya Kendra has received government approval, Founder of the organisation Dr Zafrullah Chowdhury said Thursday (Mar 19).

Raw materials for the kit -- Rapid Dot Blot -- will reach Bangladesh from the UK in a week, Dr Zafrullah told Bangla Tribune.
"We will start full-scale production in two weeks," he said.
A team of Gonoshasthaya-RNA Biotech Limited, a sister concern of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, claims to have developed the kit that can detect novel coronavirus infection in 15 minutes.
"Each kit would cost only Tk 300-350," Dr Zafrullah said yesterday.
