Students have blocked different roads creating serious gridlock in the city.
Their protests have entered the fourth day on Wednesday as they demand for safe road and punishment of the bus driver who killed two college students on Airport road on Sunday.
They blocked roads in Farmgate, Kawranbazar, Uttara House Building and other areas in the city from 10:30 in the morning.
Traffic movement has completely stopped through Farmgate area from the morning.
Police have also taken position in the areas.
Traffics are being diverted through the side streets in Jashimuddin Road in Uttara.
Commuters have to walk as there are less transport available on the streets.

Two students of Shahid Ramiz Uddin Cantonment College, Diya Khanam Mim and Abdul Karim Rajib, got run over by a Jebel-e-Noor bus on Sunday when it rammed through some students in front of Kurmitola General Hospital on Airport Road in the capital.
