Four held for spreading question paper leak rumours

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested four persons from different parts of the country on Monday (Feb 3) for allegedly spreading rumors about SSC and equivalent examination question paper leak.

The arrestees were detained from Rampura in capital, Gazipur and Khulna districts, said RAB-1 Deputy Director Morshedul Hassan confirmed the matter.

The detainees have been identified as Md Abu Bakkar Siddque, 28, Shakil Mahmud, 20, Saimon Islam, 20 and Al Mahmud, 18.

Earlier, Education Minister Dipu Moni said all coaching centers across the country will remain shut for a month from Jan 25 with the aim of preventing question paper leakage during the SSC and its equivalent examinations.

Also, she said that government has taken strict surveillance measures to stop SSC question paper leakage.

The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and its equivalent examinations under 11 education boards begin on Monday across the country.
