Election Commissioner Mahbub Talukder says he didn't find any polling agents of mayoral and councillor candidates of BNP and other parties the polling station where he voted.
After casting his vote at Ispahani Girls High School, the commissioner stayed at the centre for nearly an hour to observe the polls atmosphere.
Responding to a query from the media on the election environment, Talukdar replied, "You are well aware than me about the environment... I have just came and casted my vote along with my family. There's no point of asking me about it."
He, however, said that he did not see any polling agents of opposition parties' mayor candidates at none of the booth at the centre.
"I can't understand why that's the case," Talukdar said before adding he won't make any statement on the overall situation of the election until the polls close."
On the BNP's allegations of its polling agents being driven out of centres, the commissioner said that he did not witness any such incident.
"Moreover, I did not find any agent ... I have received a lot of complaints, but couldn't make any comments on it," he said.
