Dhaka North returning officer has disregarded BNP mayoral candidate Tabith Awal’s complaints saying that he doesn't have time to listen to complaints at the moment.
On Saturday (Feb 1), Tabith complained that the BNP-backed councillors, as well as the polling agents, were being driven out of the centres.
BNP activist Julhash went to the returning officer on behalf of Tabith where Quasem told him, “I’ve kept the complaint, will see it later. There’s no time to hear anything now.”
Julhash alleged that the returning officer disregarded his complaints of activists being attacked. “He didn’t even listen to me. There’s only a couple of hours left. When will he take steps?”
