Claiming Awami League's polls symbol ‘boat’ has no “back gear,” its Dhaka North mayoral candidate Atiqul Islam says he is “hundred percent optimistic of his victory” in the mayoral run.
“I have casted my first-ever vote using EVMs. I am excited about it,” he told media after visiting a polling center at Mirpur Bangla School and College on Saturday (Feb 1).
“Casting vote through electronic voting machines (EVMs) is an easy task,” Atiqul said before urging the voters to come at polling centers to cast votes.
Earlier, he casted vote at the polling station of the Nawab Habibullah Model School and College in Uttara Model Town around 8 am.
“I wanted to attend at the polling station in the early morning. I have cast the first vote [in the polling center],” he said.
