Taposh unveils five-point manifesto

Awami League-backed Dhaka South mayoral candidate Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has pledged to transform the capital into a vibrant and well-governed city while preserving its heritage in his manifesto for the upcoming Dhaka elections.Awami League mayoral candidate for the Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) election Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh on Wednesday (Jan 29) unveiled a 5-points election manifesto promising to work for building developed and well-governed Dhaka city.




He announced the manifesto at the Awami League central office.
His 5-points manifesto included traditional Dhaka, beautiful Dhaka, vibrant Dhaka, well-governed Dhaka and developed Dhaka.
Taposh said, “I will build the Dhaka central jail area as a heritage site. I will build a museum and art gallery with coordinated efforts and will preserve and restore the traditional characteristics of Old Dhaka through a master plan.”
Elections to both the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) and Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) will now be held on Feb 1.
