The High Court has ordered the authorities concerned to freeze the bank accounts of 20 people including former NRB Global Bank and Reliance Finance Limited managing director Proshanta Kumar Halder and seize their passports.
The HC single bench of Justice Mohammad Khurshid Alam gave the order following a hearing on case filed by two investors in this regard, on Tuesday (Jan 21).
The bench also appointed Bangladesh Bank former governor Ibrahim Khalid as the chairman and independent director of International Leasing and Financial Services, a capital market enlisted financial company.
The High court also set Feb 2 for further order in this regard.
