A policeman has been killed after he fell off the fifth floor of the police control room in Dhaka's Shahbagh area.
The incident occurred on Friday (Jan 17).
The deceased has been identified as Sudhangsu Kumar Bishwas, 24, who worked as a constable in the police control room.
Shahbagh police sources said that critically injured Sudhangsu was then rushed to the Rajarbag Police Line's hospital where doctors declared him dead.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, Dhaka Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (Ramna division) Sajjadur Rahman told Bangla Tribune.
Police are investigating the incident, he added.
