The accused are – victim's brother-in-law Dr Hasan Ali Chowdhury, his wife Sayedatul Mahmuda alias Shaheen, Chowdhury brother-in-law Anas Mahmood alias Rezwan and hitman Maruf Reza.
Earlier in the day, PBI chief Deputy Inspector General Banaj Kumar Majumder told a media call that 30 years of the incident, the PBI got the responsibility of investigating the case.
“The murder took place due to a family feud. We have been able to prove it was a well-planned murder. We sought death sentence for the four accused,” he added.
