The workers blocked the road, one of the busiest in the capital on Thursday (Jan 16) morning bringing traffic to a standstill.
Ready-Made Garments workers have blocked the Mirpur Road in Dhaka’s Shyamaoli demanding due wages.Dhaka Metropolitan Police Mohammadpur Zone Assistant Commissioner KM Shahidul Islam Shohag said that the workers of Dynamic Fashions have blocked the road on either side of Shyamoli and Kalyanpur.
Ready-Made Garments workers have blocked the Mirpur Road in Dhaka’s Shyamaoli demanding due wages.Mohammadpur police OC Abdul Latif said that negotiations were underway with the workers to leave the streets.

The protest has caused immense traffic congestion on the roads causing commuters to suffer.
