Tarique, 10 others sued for ‘life threat to PM’

Tarique Rahman has been living in the UK since 2008.BNP acting chief Tarique Rahman and 10 others have been sued for “issuing a death threat” to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
Jananetri Parishad President AB Siddiqui filed the lawsuit with Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Court on Thursday (Jan 2).
The other BNP leaders are, the party’s Dhaka metro north unit vice chairman Rabiul Awwal Sohel, Jamaat-e-Islami leaders Md Afzal Hossain, Md Mujibur Rahman, Md Abdul Karim Hafez Md Didarul Islam, Zakir Hossain, Md Abdul Halim, Md Saddam Hossain, Abdullah and Md Mojibur Rahman Sheku.
According to the documents, the accused went to Siddiqui’s office in Mirpur-1 and asked for his address and issued a bomb threat if BNP leaders and activists including chief Khaleda Zia isn’t released from prison in a week.
The document cited the accused as Tarique’s cronies who he ordered to kill Sheikh Hasina.
