Atiqul, Tabith cleared to contest Dhaka North polls

Their nominations were declared legal on Thursday (Dec 2) clearing the way for them to run for the mayoral elections, said DNCC Returning Officer Md Abul Kasem.
The nomination of Jatiya Party candidate GM Kamrul Islam was scrapped on account of him not being a city corporation voter, he added.
Meanwhile, Gana Front’s Kazi Md Shahidullah, Islami Andolan Bangladesh’s Sheikh Fazle Bari Masud, PDP’s Shahin Khan, NPP’s Anisur Rahman Dewan and Bangladesh Communist Party candidate Ahmed Sajjadul Haque have all been cleared to contest the elections to Dhaka North.
