Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) predicted that light rain or drizzle is likely to occur at one or two places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Mymensingh, Chattogram and Barishal divisions in the next 24 hours commencing at 9am Wednesday (Jan 1).
“Weather may remain mainly dry with temporary partly cloudy sky elsewhere over the country. Light to moderate fog may occur at places over the country during late night to morning”, said a met office bulletin issued on Wednesday morning.
Mild cold wave is sweeping over the regions of Panchagarah & Jashore and it may abate, it added.
However, night temperature may rise slightly and day temperature may remain nearly unchanged over the country.
As an outlook for the next 72 hours the bulletin predicted the rainfall activity may increase.
The highest temperature on Tuesday (Dec 31) was recorded as 29.3 degree Celsius in Cox’s Bazar while Wednesday’s minimum temperature was 9.2 degree Celsius in Tentulia.
