Two crude bombs went off in front of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) in Ramna area of Dhaka on Wednesday (Jan 1).Two crude bombs went off near an anniversary programme of BNP's student wing Jatiyatabadi Chhatra in Dhaka's Ramna.
The incident was reported from in front of the Institute of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) around 12.30pm on Wednesday (Jan 1), said police.
“Two crude bombs exploded in the area where a programme celebrating the 41th founding anniversary of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD) was being held inside the auditorium," said Shahbag police OC Abul Hasan.
He added that no casualties were reported and police is investigating the matter.
Previously, on Dec 27 crude bomb went off near BNP’s central office in Dhaka's Naya Paltan area when party activists and leaders gathered to withdraw and submit nomination forms for the upcoming Dhaka city elections.
