BNP Standing Committee member Khandaker Mosharraf Hossain and two others have been charged with misappropriation of public funds.
A Dhaka court has framed the charge against Mosharraf, his son Khandaker Mahbub Hossain and former line director of Health Directorate Mahbubur Rahman.
Judge Md Ataur Rahman of Dhaka Sessions Court rejected a petition of relieving them from the case and instructed to commence the trial on Aug 19.
According the charge, the accused misappropriated Tk 4.8 million public fund through forgery and non-transparent tender process.
Anti-Corruption Commission Deputy Director Lutfor Rahman filed the case in 2008.
