One of the victims of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), APM Sohel has been shifted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after a surgery.
Sohel underwent a two-hour surgery on Tuesday (Dec 24) at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), DMCH police camp Inspector Md Bacchu Mia told Bangla Tribune.
On Dec 22, DUCSU VP Nurul Haque Nur and at least 17 of his followers were injured in attacks after heated arguments with leaders and activists of Bangladesh Chhatra League on the campus.
The members of the ruling Awami League's student wing, who work under the banner of Muktijuddho Mancha, were reportedly active during the incident in and outside the DUCSU Bhaban.
However, both organisations have denied beating up Nur and the others.
