A lawyer has been held over arguments with the police while the bail hearing of BNP chief Khaleda Zia in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case was underway amidst tight security in the Supreme Court.
Md Faizullah reportedly tried to enter court premises when police asked him for identification but he refused.
“Naturally everyone was being searched while entering the court. When he [Faizullah] was asked about his identity, he countered me asking who I was to ask for identification,” said Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Ramna Zone Deputy Commissioner Md Sazzadur Rahman.
He added that and argument followed and tried to enter the court without identification after which police took him into custody.
