The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has arrested an official of Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) in possession of bribe money in Dhaka.
The arrest of HM Rashed Sarkar, a junior license inspector and consultant of CAAB, was made from the capital's Uttara area on Friday (Dec 6), said ACC spokesperson Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
Bhattacharya said that Rashed was arrested from Uttara's BFC restaurant with Tk 100,000 of bribe money "which he took from a pilot candidate to provide illegal favours during his exam."
ACC Deputy Director Masudur Rahman led the drive, he added.
