Different law enforcing agencies have taken special security measures in and around the lower court area, where Dhaka Anti-terrorism Special Tribunal is scheduled to pronounce judgment shortly in the sensational Holey Artisan attack case.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police’s additional commissioners Mir Rezaul Alam and Krishna Podo Roy inspected the area on November 26 and gave necessary directions to police’s Lalbagh division and DC prosecution.
Confirming the matter to BSS, deputy commissioner (DC) prosecution Jafar Hossain said the two senior police officials have given them necessary directions.
“Although we are not expecting any untoward incident, but we are fully prepared for any situation,” he said.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhaka metropolitan court lockup Moinul Islam said they have taken special measures in bringing and taking away the accused
to and from the court.
Two archways had been set up at the entrance of the courtroom, with extra vigil from different law enforcing agencies. Journalists and lawyers would be allowed to enter the courtroom only after 11.30 am following the thorough screening.
