A teacher stands accused of leaking questions to his own daughter for the class eight model test. Strangely, no action was taken against the teacher by the district education officer when the matter became known.
An intelligence report has recommended legal action to be taken against the head master of Parkrishna Gobindapur Girls’ High School in Chapainawabganj for moral transgression.
It is alleged against the headmaster, Md Al Mehedi Hassan that he took his daughter’s exam in his room before the stipulated time to ensure that she got top marks.
The district education officer, Abdul Latif ascertained the truth of the matter. The guardians and members of the school management committee demanded exemplary punishment for this unethical act.
Though the district administrator asked for steps to be taken against the headmaster, the district education officer and president of the management committee did not do so.
The headmaster owned up to the accusation, saying: “The exam was an internal model test for JSC; I talked to the education officer and he, along with the committee pardoned me. The complaint was later lodged by someone driven by envy and malice.”
But district education officer Abdul Latif said: “The headmaster asked for forgiveness which I passed on to the authority.”
The intelligence report stated that the education officer who is from Chapainawabganj and the local school management committee were influenced by local leaders. The report suggested action against education officer, school management and the headteacher.
