The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed a case against Abdul Malek, the former store and purchase officer of Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), on charges of embezzling over Tk 6.5 million.
ACC Assistant Director Jasmine Akter lodged the case with its Coordinated District Office, Dhaka-1 on Sunday (Nov 24), said Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya, deputy director (public relations) of ACC.
According to the case documents, Malek abused his office to embezzle nearly Tk 6.54 million between 2011 and 2014.
