The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has quizzed two more Public Works Department (PWD) engineers over the alleged corruption at a residential complex in the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant (RNPP).
Rajshahi PWD Zone Executive Engineer (Staff Officer) Tanzila Sharmin and Pabna PWD Division Assistant Engineer (Staff Officer) Md Rubel Hossain were interrogated by the graft watchdog at its office in Dhaka's Segunbagicha on Thursday (Nov 14).
The interrogation follows the ACC's summon, which were served to them on Wednesday (Nov 13), said ACC Deputy Director (Public Relation) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
Earlier, ACC summoned 33 PWD engineers over irregularities in the procurement of furniture for a residential complex in the RNPP.
Among them, 29 faced interrogation between Nov 6 and Nov 13.
ACC will also quiz managing directors of contractor companies, Sazin Construction Ltd and Majid Sons Construction Ltd on Nov 20 over the Rooppur scam.
