A man has been killed while two others received gunshot wounds in Dhaka in what the Detective Branch claims was a shootout during a robbery in progress.
The incident took place at the capital's Badda around 2am on Thursday (Nov 7), said police.
Three people were taken to the Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) from the scene, where one 'Lavlu' succumbed to his injuries, said Inspector Bachchu Mia of the hospital's police cam.
The two others, identified as Selim Mia, 45, and 'Kamal', 37,  are now being treated at the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation, he said.
Firearms and vests used by the Rapid Action Battalion were found in possession of the trio, said Inspector Mia, who is in charge of the DMCH police outpost.
