The Appellate Division has upheld a High Court order allowing two private university law-students to complete registration for Bangladesh Bar Council entrance exams.
An appellate bench, headed by Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, gave the order on Wednesday (Oct 30).
The order has cleared the way for the students of Stamford University and Dhaka International University to take the upcoming Bar Council exam.
Previously, Bar Council denied giving registration cards to students of 11 private universities on allegation of admitting students illegally.
Later, around two-thousand students filed separate writ petitions against the decision. The HC ordered to complete registration procedures of these students after a writ hearing.
