The Anti Corruption Commission (ACC) has filed two separate cases against expelled Dhaka South Jubo League office secretary Kazi Anisur Rahman and his wife Sumi Rahman on charges of amassing illegal wealth.
ACC Deputy Director Gulshan Anwar Pradhan filed the cases with their Integrated District Office 1 in Dhaka on Tuesday (Oct 29).
The anti-graft watchdog has found evidence that Anisur and his wife accumulated illegal assets worth of Tk 128.06 million and Tk 13.12 million, respectively.
On Oct 11, Anisur was suspended from Dhaka South Jubo League over the accusation of breaching party discipline.
