Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has submitted a charge sheet against expelled Jubo League leader SM Golam Kibria Shamim (GK Shamim) and his seven body guards over an arms case.
RAB-1 Sub Inspector Shekhar Chandar Mallik has submitted the charge sheet on Sunday (Oct 27) at the Dhaka Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court.
General Report Officer (GRO) Sheikh Rakibur Rahman has confirmed this, saying that it will be presented before court on Monday (Oct 28).
On Sunday, special magistrate’s court in Dhaka approved a seven-day remand for GK Shamim in the case filed by ACC.
On Sept 20, Shamim, and seven body guards were arrested; later, after a drive at his office, Tk 18 million, Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) worth Tk 1.65 billion and narcotics were recovered. Four cases have been lodged against Shamim – three on drugs, arms and money laundering and one by ACC.
