The Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) has seized a huge amount of liquor and casino equipment after raiding the house of businessman Aziz Mohammad Bhai.
DNC Assistant Director Khurshid Alam told Bangla Tribune that the raid at House-11/A on Road-57 in Gulshan-2 started just after 5pm on Sunday (Oct 27).
“The raid has been carried out on specific intel. We have found a bar on the roof. A huge amount of foreign liquor, marijuana and 1,000 yaba tablets have been seized,” he said.
The DNC official said they have also found gambling equipment, like cards and chips at the house.
A director of Olympic Industries, Aziz is more known as a film producer.
Accused in the case over actor Salman Shah’s murder, he has been staying abroad for a long time.
In August 2018, a special tribunal for stock markets ordered his arrest after indicting him with share fraud in a case over the 1996 market scam.
