Nearly two weeks after being hospitalised with a fractured hip-joint, Minister Rashed Khan Menon has now started walking with the help of aides.
On Jul 5, the Workers’ Party of Bangladesh chief was taken to Square Hospital in Dhaka with broken bone caused by a fall during his morning walk.
The social welfare minister underwent a surgery on Jul 10.
A ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday that his condition has improved significantly and that he had walked with the help of the aide.
“The minister walked for 8-10 minutes with the help of a walker on Tuesday,” said Information and Public Relation Official Md Maidul Islam.
