Light to moderate rain or thundershowers accompanied by temporary gusty wind is likely to occur at many places over Bangladesh, predicts the Met Office.
Moderately heavy to heavy rain may occur in Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and in a few places over Rangpur, Rajshahi, Dhaka and Mymensingh divisions, a Bangladesh Metrological Department bulletin said on Wednesday (Sept 2).
Day and night temperatures may remain nearly unchanged over the country, it added.
The country’s highest rainfall in the last 24 hours till 6am on Wednesday was recorded at 122mm at Sylhet, followed by 107mm at Khepupara.
The maximum temperature on Tuesday was recorded at 34.4°C at Jessore while the minimum was 22.3°C at Faridpur.
The sun sets at 5.45pm on Wednesday and rises at 5.51am on Thursday in the capital.
