Investigation report for the Sagar Sarwar and Mehrun Runi murder has not been submitted by RAB in the 58 scheduled dates.
Jul 17, Tuesday, was a date for submission. Since investigating official, assistant director of RAB, Mohiuddin Ahmed, did not submit the report, a new date was fixed on Sep 5 next, informed general diary official of Shere Bangla thana, Zahurul Huq.
On Feb 11, 2012, Sagar, news editor of Maachranga TV and his wife, Runi, senior reporter for ATN Bangla were brutally killed in their West Rajarbazar home.
The accused are Runi’s friend, Tanvir and other seven, including, security guard, Enam Ahmed, Rafiqul Islam, Bokul Mia, Mintu, Kamrul Hasan Arun, Polash Rudro, Tanvir and Abu Sayeed.

Though the accused were taken to remand, no one gave a confessional statement.
