The move came a day after Bangla Tribune ran a report on Nazmul's owning several companies in London on Sunday (Sept 29).
"We have seen the report on Nazmul Alam. Information will be collected after verifying the report," ACC Secretary Muhammad Delwar Bakht told the media at its head office in Dhaka's Segunbagicha on Monday (Sept 30).
Claiming to be an honest student leader from a simple background, Nazmul's reportedly runs six companies in London engaged in housing, car accident claims, retail selling, job providing agencies and so on.
Of the six, he is a joint director in three companies and sole director in one.
The former student leader is believed to be in the UK now on an investment visa. For such a visa, a person has to invest a minimum of £200,000 in the UK, which is Tk 20 million. Reportedly, Nazmul leads a lavish life in London.
