Information has surfaced about former Chhatra League general secretary Siddique Nazmul Alam having massive investment in London, ranging to millions. Claiming to be an honest student leader from a simple background, he became the owner of several companies in the UK.
Reportedly, he has six companies in London engaged in housing, car accident claims, retail selling, job providing agencies and so on.
Of the six, he is joint director in three companies and sole director in one.Siddique Nazmul is believed to be in the UK now on investment visa. For such a visa, a person has to invest a minimum of £200,000 in the UK, which is Tk 20 million. Reportedly, Nazmul leads a lavish life in London.
It’s found that he was linked to six organisations: Flexfog limited, Elite City Limited, Naz UK BD Properties, SNB Autos, SNR UK Limited and Car Museum Ltd.
He is the sole director of UKBD Properties located in East London, which has a capital of £750,000, roughly Tk 100 million in Bangladeshi currency.
The company was registered on Jul 10, 2018 at the British government’s company house at Canon Street in East London.The Flexfog Limited at Bethnal Green was registered on Jan 30, 2014.
Elite City Limited is located at Boswell Street in Central London and was registered on Aug 16, 2018.
This company specialises in employment placement activities. The fourth company SNB Autos, registered on Sept 21, 2016 is a car renting and leasing body.Talking to journalists, Nazmul said: “I registered Naz UK BD and a friend kept me as a working director at SNV Autos; Flexfog is an IT firm opened by another friend who kept me as partner and the activities of these firms have not started as yet.”
“The information that Naz UKBD Properties has a capital of £850,000 is not correct; I am studying plus pursuing business in the UK,” said Nazmul.
Saying that he has come to a position in politics through a lot of hardship and travails, Nazmul did not reveal that visa status for his current residence in the UK.
