Two days after a raid by the Dhaka Metropolitan Police, the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) raided the Fu-Wang Club in Dhaka at the early hours on Thursday (Sept 25).
The raid at the club, which also has a licenced bar, unfolded around midnight in the capital's Tejgaon, said RAB’s Legal and Media Wing Senior Assistant Director Mizanur Rahman.
A huge amount of unauthorised liquor was seized from the club, media reports said quoting RAB officials.
As part of the anti-gambling clampdown, police had raided the bar on Monday (Sept 23) too. But they later confirmed that they did not find anything illicit there that day.
