The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has brought charges under narcotics and firearms act against Kalabagan Krira Chakra President Shafiqul Islam Firoz.
The elite police unit filed the cases with Dhanmondi police station early on Saturday (Sept 21), said Dhanmondi police OC Abdul Latif.
Around 8.30 pm on Friday (Sept 20), RAB conducted a raid at the club and seized different kinds of items used to run at casinos and gambling including yaba tablets from its offices.
Five of its officials including the club president Shafiqul Islam Firoz were held during the raid.
