Junior Chamber International (JCI) Dhaka Central distributed essential life saving medications and other medical supplies for the only 24/7 Union Health and Family Welfare Center in Nijhum Dwip.
The formal handover ceremony was held on Wednesday (Sept 11) at the Save the Children Noakhali project office, says a press release.
JCI Dhaka Central Local President GS Ashiqur Rahman Bhuiyan, Executive Vice President Sabrina Sharmin, former local presidents Mehzabeen Aziz, Abu Taleb Siddique, and Salahuddin, Deputy Program Director, Noakhali region, MaMoni - Maternal, Neonatal and Child Survival Project (MNCSP), Save the Children were present along with other members, project officials and other dignitaries.

The 24/7 Union Health and Family Welfare Center situated in Nijhum Dwip is the only health care facility available for more than 30,000 adolescents and pregnant women in the remote isolated island situated in the Bay of Bengal.
The supplied medicines and medical supplies will play a crucial role in providing emergency health care services for the pregnant women and adolescents in the island.
