The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) has found no evidence to support the corruption allegations brought against Bangladesh Securities Exchange Commission (BSEC) Chairman M Khairul Hossain.
A high-ranking source at the anti-graft watchdog has confirmed the matter.
The ACC opened inquiries into graft and money laundering charges brought against the stock market regulator chief in the first week of August and later found no evidence to corroborate the allegations.
The probe found that a certain individual has used a fake name and address to bring false allegations against Hossain, according to people familiar with the matter.
