The Bangladesh graft watchdog has summoned seven people whose name appeared in the Panama Papers and Paradise Papers.
A spokesperson for the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) said the four people, whose names appeared in the Panama Papers have been told to appear on Jul 16.
Multi-trade Marketing’s directors Hasan Mahmud Raja, Khandaker Mainul Ahsan, Ismail Hossain and Akhthar Mahmud will be quizzed on allegations of money laundering, said ACC Public Relations Officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya.
The three others, whose names appeared in Paradise Papers, will be questioned on Jul 17. They are Eric Johnson Andres, Farhana Yakibur Rahman and Mahtab Rahman.
The Panama and Paradise Papers are sets of millions of documents relating to offshore investments that were leaked by the International Consortium of Investigative Journalists (ICIJ).
