Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Commissioner Md Asaduzzaman Mia has been reappointed to the post for another month on a contract basis.

The president has issued orders to this effect and the appointment will be effective from Aug 14 till Sep 13.

A Gazette notification issued by the Public Administration Ministry on Tuesday (Aug 13) said that Md Asaduzzaman Mia, who belonged to the BCS (police) cadre, had been appointed to the post of DMP Commissioner for a period of thirty days on a contract basis.

Md Asaduzzaman Mia has been serving as the DMP Commissioner for the past four and a half years and his tenure ended on Tuesday (Aug 13) prior to the reappointment.
