International Crimes Tribunal's investigation agency released its probe report against nine war crimes accused from Nilphamari on Thursday (Aug 1).
Of the nine accused, Md Ekramul Haque, 70, Md Abdus Sattar, 80, Boksu Miah alias Md Moksu Miah Mazumder, 77, Md Abdul Khalek, 72, Moksedur Rahman alias Khoka, 77, Md Shahidullah Sarker, Md Nurul Haque, 65, and Jabed Ali, 71, are in jail, while another accused Shahdat Hossain, 68, is still on run.
“We have brought six charges of crimes against humanity against them including genocide, murder, rape and confinement. The investigation officer has made 43 as witnesses in the case,” chief coordinator of the agency Mohammad Abdul Hannan Khan told newsmen at a media briefing.
Khan said they launched the probe on November 20, 2017, and concluded on Aug 1.
