Severe flooding has killed at least 101 people in different parts across the country, said Health Directorate.
"At least 101 deaths have been reported in the last 14 days (Jul 10 to Jul 24).”
Of them, 60 have been reported in the last 24-hours, said Dr Ayesha Akhter, assistant director at Health Emergency Operations Center and Control Room of the Health Directorate.
"They died due to drowning, snake bites, thunderstorm, electrocution, diarrhea and other water related deceases," she said.
Among the victims, 83 drowned in flood water, 8 of snake bites, 7 killed in thunderstorm, one from respiratory infections and two due to other reasons," added the health directorate official.
