Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has said that investigation is underway to find if the killing in a court room in Cumilla was due to the negligence of anyone.
“Such an incident in a court room is unexpected. Investigation is underway to find out how a man entered the court with a sharp weapon,” said Kamal on Tuesday (Jul 16) at a programme held at the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Headquarters.
“After the recent incident, we have taken steps to ramp up security at courts,” observed the minister.
Regarding the appointment of police constables, the minister said: “The appointment process has been transparent this time but if any irregularities are reported then steps will be taken against those involved.”
