Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has promised Mahbuba Hoque Chader Kona a job after the woman with walking disabilities demonstrated in the capital for four days.
Kona will get a suitable government job: said, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant Biplab Barua on Saturday (Jun 29).
“The prime minister is aware of her (Kona’s) demand,” Biplab added.
Mahbuba Haque Chander Kona, who has a first-class MA degree from Eden College in Dhaka announced the end of her hunger strike in front of the National Press Club after the assurance from the premier.
She was returning home in Sirajganj, she said in a Facebook post.
Kona also thanked the media for helping her draw the government’s attention.
