Two months not enough: Bus driver goes back to jail!

Authorities impounding a bus which was being operated in Dhaka without proper documents.Driver Delowar Hossain was sentenced to two months jail as he could not produce legal documents to a mobile court.

After spending his time, Delowar was released on Sunday. The next day, he started driving and when the same mobile court apprehended him, he failed to produce any document.

The court sentenced him again to two months in jail. The incident took place at Kawran Bazar area at around 1pm Monday when Dhaka Metropolitan Police Executive Magistrate, Mashiur Rahman, handed out the punishment.

“Delowar Hossain was punished two months ago at Shahbag area as he did not have any valid driving documents. He was released Sunday, but today (Monday) started driving a bus on Sadarghat-Mirpur route and was caught red-handed in Kawran bazar area,” said Magistrate Rahman.

Sentencing him to two months in jail, Mashiur deplored: “This man has no intention to get a driving license.”
