Air pollution causes deaths to 234,000 people every year in Bangladesh while air pollution is blamed for 21 percent deaths during the same time, according to a report-2018 of World Bank.
Death caused by environment pollution is 10 times higher than road accident, this was revealed by environment experts at a workshop titled “Air pollution and doings for prevention of air pollution” in the conference room of the district administration in Cumilla on Saturday (Jun 15), state news agency BSS reports.
The Environment, Forest and Climate Change Ministry organized the workshop aiming to educate the people on different aspects of air pollution and finding ways to stop air pollution.
