Former president of Bangladesh Chhatra League’s BUET unit has been found dead at his home in Dhaka.
Shuvra Jyoty Tikader, former student of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), was recovered from a flat at Elephant Road around 1pm on Tuesday (Jun 4), said police.
Citing the family members, New Market Police Sub-Inspector (SI) Alamgir Hossain Mazumder said, “Shuvra spent in a separate room since 12am on Tuesday after a dispute with his wife. Shuvra’s wife opened the room with a spare key as he did not open it until Tuesday noon.”
“Shuvra’s wife called her father-in-law after seeing the body hanging from the ceiling fan,” said SI Alamgir.
“Later, Shuvra’s father came to the scene and brought the body down,” he added.
“The body has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy,” said the SI.
