BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia is doing well, said Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) authorities.
“Khaleda Zia’s health has been improving since she was admitted at BSMMU,” hospital Director AKM Mahbubul Hoque told the media on Wednesday (May 29).
He added that the former prime minister was doing well and fasting this year.
The BSMMU director said that the media briefing has been organised as “some media reports recently created confusion over Khaleda Zia’s health condition.”
He said that she had been admitted with chronic diseases and her health has shown significant signs of improvement over the nearly two months she has been admitted at BSMMU.
“Recently, she has been suffering from fungal infections on her tongue which has improved almost 90 percent,” he said.
He added if needed they will do a dental check up to see whether there are any more problems.
