The investigation committee of Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) is likely to submit probe report on Saturday (May 18). The BCL probe body was formed to investigate attacks carried out at a press briefing of ‘post-deprived’ in new committee.
According to BCL Senior Vice President Al Nahian Khan Joy also the probe committee member said: “The investigation committee has already identified four to five activists involved in the attack.”
He said: “The report was scheduled to be submitted within 48-hours. It took more time because of organisation's tight schedule. We prepared it today and will submit to central unit President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon and General Secretary Golam Rabbani.”
On May 13, Some activists of BCL allegedly foiled a press conference organised by leaders of the student organisation who were deprived of posts in its newly announced full-fledged central committee.
The press conference was organised at Madhur Canteen on the Dhaka University campus, protesting the inclusion of “undeserving candidates” in the BCL central committee.
Several student leaders were injured in the incident, he added.
Earlier, BCL unveiled its 301-member full-fledged central committee, almost a year after naming its president and general secretary.
