Organisation for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has been closely monitoring the latest attacks that have taken place in various locations in Sri Lanka.
In a twitter message, OIC said, “The OIC calls on the authorities in Sri Lanka to ensure the safety and security of the Muslim community in the country and combat the rising tide of violence, extremism and hate speech, which is spreading fear, and mistrust among the communities.”
The organization has also reiterated its firm stance against terrorism and extremism in all its forms and manifestations.

Meanwhile, after the attack in Colombo last month, the country has been witnessing anti-Muslim attack in which people were killed, mosque were torched and property of Muslims were damaged.
